Islamophobia, a Decolonial Perspective

We had a conversation with Salman Sayyid (June 2021) about his thoughts on Islamophobia, Racism and Muslimness.

Salman Sayyid is a professor of Social Theory & Decolonial Thought at the University of Leeds (UK). He is interested in decolonial thought, poststructuralist political theory, critical Muslim studies, analysis of Islamophobia and racism, and historical and relational macro-sociology. He is the Founding Editor
of ReOrient.

Dr Amina Shareef is an independent researcher. Her work explores the impact of the War on Terror on Young British Muslim women.
