REE New Website and 2026 Reading Group Sessions

Dear All,

We hope the week is off to a good start.

We are writing to share the link to the newly designed REE website – https://reecollective.co.uk/.  A huge thanks to Isara Treesahakiat at the University of Oxford for her support in this iteration of the website.

We aim to use the website as a resource to support the REE Community in its research, teaching and activism.  To this end, we have shared video and audio materials from the last 9 years of REE’s activities, including past reading lists (more to be added in due course).   We have also started adding recent publications from the REE Community and details of past events – e.g., seminars and talks – as a record of what we have achieved.

We have also included details about the REE chapters in Melbourne (hybrid group across Australia), Auckland and Sheffield (in person), that have been facilitating reading groups over the last couple of years.  Do get in touch if you are interested in setting up an in-person reading group/chapter.

We have not been active over the last year or so due to other pressures (life and work!), but we are kicking things off again in February 2026 with an online Reading Group on the theme of Race, Time and Educational Realities.   These three sessions will run fortnightly from Thursday, 5th February 12.30-1.30 pm (UK).  We realise this time is not convenient for everybody.  However, we will offer events and reading groups at other times and days throughout the year.  Even if you are unable to attend, we encourage you to engage with the readings.   For those of you unable to access the three main readings, you can find them here.

Finally, we are coming off X (Twitter). We have not used it for quite a while as it is no longer a helpful platform.  Our main channels of communication will be via the website and mailing list/email

We will be in touch in January with Zoom details for the reading group sessions.

We wish you all the best (peace and rest above all) for the end of the year.

Very best
