Hello All,

Join us on 6 May 2026 at 14:00 (BST) for the online launch of the Global Action for Racial Justice in Education (GARJE) project (https://antiracisteducation.org/)
Around the world, teachers, students, activists, and educational organisations are working to address racism and racial inequity in education, often against a backdrop of global policy agendas that fail to name race and racism as the driving forces they are.
We’re hosting a live online event to share inspiring anti-racist education practices from across the world, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Lebanon, Mexico, New Zealand, Senegal, South Africa, the UK, and the US.
Together, we’ll explore how to build a movement for racial justice in education.
The session will:
- Demonstrate the significance of addressing race and racism in education
- Recognise the global scale of this challenge
- Lay the foundations for an international community of action

GARJE forms part of the wider ActionAid-SETA project (https://projetoseta.org.br/projeto-seta/), developed in partnership with the Global Campaign for Education, Education International, and the Global Student Forum.
