Race, Empire and Education Collective

The Aotearoa/New Zealand REE group, based out of the University of Auckland has been a fully in person group, comprised of academics, postgraduate students, educators, and activists.  Since its formation in 2023, topics have included Palestine, global justice, and settler colonialism; racial capitalism; and bordering and border abolition.  

The group will be shifting to a hybrid group, and welcomes engagement from educators, scholars, and activists from across the country (and region) to join.
